Charles Robinson and Jory Epstein recap the whirlwind of news around the NFL, including the New York Jets signing Dalvin Cook, Jonathan Taylor returning to camp, the Dallas Cowboys pushing Zach Martin, and the New England Patriots signing Ezekiel Elliott. Later, the duo delivers the biggest takeaways from the most recent training camps they’ve been to, including the Philadelphia Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers, Tennessee Titans, and Dallas Cowboys.
1:50 – The Jets have signed Dalvin Cook, who has been the cherry on top on a roster that looks ready to compete for the Super Bowl. Officially the Jets are all in, it’s hard not to conceive of them as legitimate competitors except for a few concerns along the offensive line.
12:50 – Cowboys All-Pro guard Zach Martin is getting paid, getting an $8 million raise for the next two seasons. Martin is the type of player that would be a no-brainer to push, but Dallas has some big additions coming that they will have to plan in players like Micah Parsons and Sir Lamb.
20:50 – The Patriots have signed Ezekiel Elliott, who will complete Ramondry Stephenson in a backfield needing a short yardage man.
24:25 – Jonathan Taylor is back in camp on Monday, but there’s no reason to think the tension between Taylor and the Indianapolis Colts has gone anywhere. Charles believes the Colts would be right to pay Taylor, especially if they see Taylor and Richardson form a connection once the season begins. The running back market remains a hot topic of debate in the NFL.

39:30 – Gorey visited the Cowboys camp and is so excited to see the wide receivers take a big step forward. Duck and his receptors have made their chemistry a big focus, and they’ve added veteran Brandine’s fast-food chefs.
46:20 – Charles visited Steelers camp, and the relationship between QB Kenny Pickett and his wide receivers (including Allen Robinson and George Pickens) is believed to have jumped. The AFC North will be a bloodbath this season.
52:50 – Building on an emphasis on QB and WR connections, Jori has seen improvements in the game of both Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown. Brown appears to be getting faster, while Hurtz puts effort into his death and hopes to build a killer campaign in 2022.
59:10 – Charles completes the podcast by offering takeaways from Camp Titans: This list is underrated. Defense is stellar, while offense seems to have added some exciting new pieces. If Ryan Tannehill can stay healthy, this team can compete in the AFC South.
