Kylian Mbappe has returned to the Paris Saint-Germain training squad after two weeks of training separately during his contractual encounter with the French Premier League club.

“Following very constructive and positive talks between Paris Saint-Germain and Kylian Mbappe before the match against Lorient, the player was reinstated in the first-team squad this morning,” Paris Saint-Germain said in a statement. Sunday.

Those talks reportedly took place ahead of the club’s opening game of the season, a draw against Lorient at the Parc des Princes on Sunday. Mbappe was seen watching the match from the stands.

“Kylian is committed to Paris Saint-Germain. Kylian is back,” PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi told the club on the day of the match, according to Soccer Insider. Fabricius Roman.

The parties are still discussing various options for a new deal, including a possible exit clause for 2024, Romano mentioned.

Mbappe, one of the most important football stars, told Paris Saint-Germain that he intends to leave in June. He was left out of the club’s summer tour a month later and turned down several offers made to him by the club after that, including a record-breaking transfer offer from Saudi club Al-Hilal.

He began pre-season training with other PSG players made available for trade, including Jorginho Wijnaldum, Julian Draxler and Leandro Paredes.

In August, Brazilian superstar Neymar became the second high-profile athlete to request an exit from Paris Saint-Germain. The 30-year-old is said to be close to a deal with Al-Hilal, Fabrizio reported Sunday. Another former PSG star, Lionel Messi, also left this summer for Inter Miami.

During the negotiations, PSG was clear that Mbappe would not be able to leave the club for free, but remained hopeful that the dispute would be resolved with him. He finished as Ligue 1’s top scorer for the past five seasons and signed a contract extension last year after PSG rejected an offer from Real Madrid.

The club will return for the Ligue 1 match against Toulouse on Saturday. It is unclear if Mbappe will take the field in that match.
